About us

BROWACT is an organization of Broward County Residents dedicated to reforming the laws regarding the taxation of real estate in Florida. Being a member of BROWACT allows you to work with others to achieve the common goals of a reduced and equitably distributed tax burden. There are no dues. Your personal information will not be shared without your permission. Through occasional emails and this web site you will kept up to date with tax-related activities of interest and encouraged from time-to-time to participate in group activates such as writing letters to newspapers or state officials and attending public forums.

BROWACT is affiliated with the Florida Taxpayers Alliance (FTPA), an umbrella group comprised of the local tax-reform groups that are being formed at the county level around the state. By separately joining the ftpa you can receive email updates on their activities. (In any case, selected FTPA updates will be provided to members of BROWACT.)

One of the county organizations, Cut Taxes Now, is working as the political arm of the Florida Taxpayers Alliance. Click here if you wish to contribute financially to their PAC.
