Lawsuits

Two class-action lawsuits to overturn the Save Our Homes Amendment.:

·          Lanning v Pilcher, filed by non-residents of Florida.

·          Bruner v Hartsfeld, filed by recent homesteaders, to overturn SOHA.

Kania v Nelson: an individual lawsuit, filed by non-residents of Florida, to overturn SOHA

 

 

Petitions

Petitions to Attorneys General of requesting amicus curiae briefs in support of the Lanning case are available for the following U.S. states and Canada. "Individual" petitions have room for one or two signatures and contain a brief description of the basis for the lawsuit. "Multiple" petitions do not contain summaries of the case but allow for up to 25 signatures.

The Canadian petition should be mailed to the petition organizers as shown at the bottom of the petitions.  The other petitions should be mailed directly to the corresponding Attorney General’s Office.
